For the homeowners that are serious about reducing chloramines, chlorination byproducts, lead and heavy metals, the CITI Series brings its “A” game with 1 1/4 cubic feet of Premium Grade Catalytic Granular Catalytic Carbon along with a full 4 lbs. of KDF55 filtration media.

Hard water issues are treated by the integrated IONIQ Inline Water Conditioner (IWC) so that as your water exits the filtration media bed it passes through the IONIQ IWC treatment chamber and exits the system in an optimally filtered and conditioned state.

Maintenance Free with Automatic Backwashing using the Fleck 5810 Inlet/Outlet Valve, the CITI Series Systems can be installed indoors or outdoors. Zero waste systems and installations are also available.

Comparable systems sell for upwards of $4000. Often these systems claim lots of “Stages” of filtration but that when examined, is all too often, lots of less expensive Granular Activated Carbon and very little Catalytic Carbon.

IONIQ uses a catalytic, high activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation of select coconut shell charcoal. The catalytic activity of this activated carbon makes it highly effective for the removal of chloramines and hydrogen sulfide from potable water. Its large micropore volume makes it particularly well suited for the removal of low molecular weight organic compounds and their chlorinated by-products such as chloroform and other trihalomethanes (THMs). An important feature of this material is its superior mechanical hardness and the extensive dedusting during its manufacture ensures an exceptionally clean activated carbon product.

When combined with KDF 55 Process Media which alone can remove up to 99% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium, and other dissolved metals, the CITI Series stands alone.

KDF55 is effective in controlling the buildup of bacteria, algae, fungi and scale, making them ideal for use in GAC beds, ion exchange resins, carbon block filters and inline carbon filters.
